My Little Fashionista!

Remember how much fun we had with Fashion Friday? I think Rylee is taking it to a whole new level. Do you think that maybe she is somehow sneaking in episodes of America's Next Top Model or does this just come naturally? (sorry for the odd sizes, I didn't have time to fix them first)





And for just one more glimpse into my life:

We sat down as a family to watch American Idol and after a while Rylee gets up and comes to stand in front of me. She takes her little hands and very gently cups my chin with them. She looks deep into my eyes with a very serious expression on her face. In a deep sort of husky voice she says "Mama... you are deeeeeelicious!"

I really have no idea where she gets this stuff - and she was just a little offended when I fell over laughing!

Fashion Friday

It's Fashion Friday time at Do They Have Salsa in China? and I hope you join in this week! Fashion Friday is when we let our kiddo's have free choice on putting their outfits together and we get to enjoy their creative side!

Our first outfit this week was a smashing success - she looked totally cute and everything matched!!!

Outfit number two was fitting for the warm days we are having now. Sunglasses seem to have become her "must have" accessory right now. The only problem is that she only wears them on her face in the house. She said that they make her see better inside :) Outside she shoves them on top of her head!

This was the outfit she picked out for VBS. She was not thrilled with my stipulation of no princess dresses until she got home - ha ha!!!

This was her choice for going to the barn this week. The horse shirt worked really well, I only wished the pants had matched better...

Since school is out, and I have been working so much (leaving Dad in charge of wardrobe) Rylee has had plenty of opportunities to pick out her own outfits. She is big into accessories right now and of course princess dresses have pretty much made an appearance daily!

Fashion Challenge Friday

This weeks self designed outfit was actually pretty good. She found a "Daddy's Girl" pink and black dress and paired it with footless pink tights and off she went to spend a few hours with Daddy at work.



When she came home she added the red tutu. I'm thinking my husband was pretty relieved that she did not have this on before they left the house in the morning!



And she - well she thought she was hot stuff with the addition of the tutu - you can tell by the very satisfied look on her face!

This time Rylee picked her absolute most favorite dress, which now is really closer to a shirt since she is growing so fast! She paired it with her favorite tights and some great (but not matching) accessories. She LOVES doing this and gets so excited when I tell her that she gets to pick her own outfit!

And I took her out in public... but I did make her put on more appropriate park/play shoes.

Rylee recently got a new tutu and she is dying to wear it everyday! When I told her she could pick her own outfit, I should have known what she was going to do!

The problem with the outfit was not necessarily the tennis shoes but more... the backside:

Pants and tutu's are a difficult combination to pull off!

I just couldn't resist joining in on this Fashion Challenge that is being held over at Do They Have Salsa in China?. If you haven't seen this adorable set of twins yet, you are really missing out on some fun-filled cuteness!

During spring break, I really relaxed on guiding Rylee's outfit choices - so this one is completely put together by her. (including her favorite yellow bandaid accessories that she does not need for any other reason than "dis is cool Mom!")

I thought it wasn't too bad of an outfit. Sun dress, winter snowflake tights, church shoes, cheetah sunglasses and two yellow bandaids - what's not to love?
