It's St. Patty's day fun at iHeartFaces this week! The rules are that there has to be green in the photo and a face. Click here or on the button above to join in the fun or to see some very amazing entries!
I certainly am not entering because I think I have any chance of winning, but because I am learning so much from all the great photographers that are in this group. I've even had a few people tell me recently that they can see my photos get better (thanks Mom - just kidding, it was my other family members)!
So, I scanned through hundreds of my photos and was about to give up on finding an entry with green in it for this week when I decided I would check my camera for the photos that I took yesterday at the Botanical Gardens.
Here is my entry for the Kid's Category:
It seems like the more I learn the more indecisive I become. I had a really hard time deciding if I should crop this closer and take out the distracting orange bracelet, but in the end I decided I liked being able to see the three branches in the shot. If only I knew how to turn that orange bracelet green :)
As always I welcome any helpful tips, suggestions etc... and remember click here to see some other super great entries!
Yeah, I know what you mean, I haven't mastered that yet either, to turn something into another color. But I love this picture, so cute and enough green in it. Good Luck!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot... she's a cutie!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo. The orange is not distracting and provides an interesting pop of color and contrast to the rest of the pic. I think you were smart not to crop it IMHO.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! What a doll. I think you did a great job with the crop. My eye goes to her face first, then down the arm to the bracelet. Works nicely. And YES... you HAVE gotten a lot better:-) I think so many people have learned a lot in just the few short months our site has been online. It will be fun to see how different everyone is a year from now!

ReplyDeleteShe is a doll! I love the orange bracelet. I love her smile!
ReplyDeleteI love this photo, and I think it's perfect the way it is... you don't have her centered, but over to the left and the background is not focused, just her and the branches, so it's PERFECT! :) Thanks for entering my giveaway, I'll be drawing the winner tomorrow... good luck! :)
ReplyDeleteI love her smile! Sometimes the best ones are right under our noses, right? Just a beautiful shot!
